MY STORY

We founded www.career777.com to provide a path for those interested in earning a professional certification in a career they are interested in. At the moment, our focus is providing value-intensive PMI certification exam prep courses.

Our PMI-PBA prep courses has already helps hundreds of students become PMi-PBA certified and be effective BAs.

My name is John Sipin and I am your lead instructor. When I was studying for my PMP, I had to pay a course provider that I found on the internet $1299 to attend a four-day training in Orlando, FL. I also had to pay for plane ticket and hotel room. So including by plane, food and hotel expense, I was probably out $2100. This was 12 years ago (I am dating myself :))

I needed the Contact Hours required by PMI to sit for the exam so I felt I had no choice. There were, if I recall, 20-25 other class attendees.

I told myself that I hope to help provide a solution to this high-cost of getting the contact hours as it is a potential barrier-to-entry to many otherwise deserving students.

Five years ago, when I took my PMI-ACP, the contact hours was acquired through an online course provider and it was still pricey – at least I saved the travel expense. And in 2018, when I earned my PMI-PBA, some of my MBA classes were credited towards my contact hours (so thankfully, did not have to spend separately for the 35 contact hours required for PMI-PBA)

That is part of the reason we are on this platform – to enable deserving students to avail of a value-intensive PMI certification exam prep course at a price they can afford!

Below is my relevant experience that I believe helps further qualify me to teach this course

•Over 15 years of hands-on diverse industry experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Senior Project Manager / Lean Agile Coach / Scrum Master

•Even while managing projects as a PM, in most cases I also performed the role of BA. Successfully completed over 200 small, medium and large projects including enterprise-wide risk management implementation, loan origination systems, core banking transformations, SDLC software development, oil and gas trading software implementation, customer-facing bank website redesign, healthcare real-time reporting database, employee incentive systems etc.

•Throughout his hands-on career, John invested time, in the midst of his PM and business analyst work, to mentor, coach and train entry-level and junior BA and PM team members....

• Started career as a financial analyst / controller, then later as VP-Finance in a NY broker/dealer insurance-annuities company. He also founded a mortgage loan company and trained people on how to become mortgage loan officers.

While not working, teaching or mentoring, John spends time taking his kids to their soccer games, taking his wife to an occasional hop to the beach or dinner or attending yoga classes, and watching his favorite college football/basketball and NBA teams.
